Do I need to have access to a gym?
Not necessarily. Your program will be designed specifically according to the equipment and space you have access to. This may be a full gym, your own home with some equipment, no equipment at all, or even while travelling. During our consultation, I will gather information about your current lifestyle and life situation to ensure your program will reflect all factors given.
What if now is not a good time for me to start a program?
There is never going to be an ideal time or circumstances in life to start. The best time to start is right now. All waiting does is push your desired goals off by another day, week, month, year. One day missed is one day you could have been making progress already. You are missing that push over the edge to get you started. Call me right now. Let's talk about your goals and the path to get you there!
I don't know how to use any gym equipment, proper form when lifting weights, etc. Where do I start?
That is common when starting anything in life. With the proper guidance provided on the Everfit app with the use of pictures, demonstration videos, and descriptive instructions, you will be able to use the tools to practice in real life. With plenty of practice and repetition, you will perfect your exercises in no time. I'm available to a message or call at anytime needed to help guide you through an exercise if you are having difficulty. I wouldn't make you do anything you are not comfortable with or anything I personally have never done before myself.
Will I get the results I'm looking for?
The direct answer is: That is on you. I will provide you with all the tools you need to ensure you will get your desired results. The actual work and actions must be done and will be in your control. The work will be evident by your effort. Over time, the hard work will compound and there is no reason why you wouldn't get the results you are after and even surpass them!
How long until I see my desired results?
The official answer here is: That is on you. If you are willing to dedicate time and effort every single day for 1-2 hours per day and have your diet on point 100% of the time, the results will come faster. If you dedicate less days and time to workout and your diet is only on point about 70-80% of the time, you will see your results slower than the first scenario. Another factor would be your current body type and what the desired goal is. If you are starting off as a heavier individual and are looking to lose half your body weight, that may take longer than the person who is currently at an average body weight and wants to add 20 lbs of lean muscle. There are many factors that determine the time frame it would take to achieve your goals. In the bigger picture, you should adapt the program as the new lifestyle. The idea is to surpass your goal regardless of the time it may take and then set up a lifestyle to continue to be active, fit, and healthy for the rest of your life.
Will I get enough communication with my coach?
Besides the weekly check-in calls, I am always available 24/7 by phone, text, WhatsApp, Instagram, and on Everfit. I review every workout and provide feedback the same day as the workout. Macros are reviewed and assessed at least once a week. I thrive towards being in contact as much as possible with everyone. You can expect a high level of communication with your coach throughout your fitness journey.
Will I be able to continue my other sporting hobbies while on any chosen program?
Yes, absolutely. Your program will be designed to ensure your existing sporting hobbies will not be compromised. With the program, you will notice yourself improve and elevate in your current sporting hobbies as you gain strength, endurance, stamina, etc. During our consultation, that will be one factor asked about to ensure we are on the same page when it comes to all aspects of your life.
Will the program be hard for beginners?
The program will appear hard for any level of experience in their own unique way. The program will be designed specifically for beginners if that is the experience level you currently have. You may not workout at a pro level, but it will still appear hard for a beginner's level/experience. I strongly believe that nothing valuable comes from easy work and comfort. In that same statement, I also respect others' level of experience and make sure the program reflects this.
Is the program for any age group?
Yes, the programs are designed for anyone from a younger age all the way to someone older. No matter what age you currently are, during our initial consultation we will discuss your experience in fitness overall, currently level of activities, current health and pre-existing conditions I need to be aware of. This will help me ensure you will receive the appropriate program without risking decreasing your health condition and maximize results.
Will I still be able to eat the food I enjoy?
The meal plans and nutrition guides are designed to be functional. There are ways to replace ingredients in your meals as well as enhance flavour in a healthy way to make the dieting part more enjoyable. There will be times where you will get to "indulge" to a certain extent. This is to serve the purpose of being your reward for following the workouts and dieting for a certain period of time.
What if I'm not disciplined enough to stick to the program?
That is a common concern for people. Being financially invested in a program but fear the lack the discipline. Not to worry, as your accountability manager, I will help you with simple to follow techniques to ensure you complete your workouts and implement the dieting assigned. For most people, it's implementing new habits, which, believe it or not, is way easier than you may think. Once implemented, over time you will develop the discipline to keep going day after day, week after week, month after month, and year after year.
